IOP: What You Can Expect
Our clinical experts have worked hard to design an IOP that meet our client’s individual needs by providing the right combination of therapies necessary to achieve lasting recovery. As part of the IOP, our clients participate in the following treatments:
Clients typically remain at the IOP level of care for 8 to 12 weeks. Sanitas’ Intensive Outpatient Program is held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm–8:30 pm.
The Benefits of IOP
Here we take a look at some of the many ways that an intensive outpatient treatment program can help you or someone you love:
- Flexibility: Perhaps the biggest benefit is that IOP can accommodate your busy life schedule. When you undergo substance use disorder treatment at an outpatient facility, you are able to attend programming during the evening, so you can still meet your family, work or school obligations.
- Longer treatment: Numerous studies show that longer treatment periods lead to better outcomes when it comes to lasting sobriety. By enrolling in an IOP, you may be extending your treatment by up to 12 weeks.
- Ongoing support: A big part of successful sober living is ongoing support. Attending an IOP will help you build a recovery community of peers who share similar recovery struggles and victories.
